On Wednesday, the First Lady of the United States, Dr. Jill Biden, and Associate Justice Sonia Sotomayor of the Supreme Court paid a visit to the Bronx Children’s Museum. Dr. Biden is a pediatrician and Dr. Sotomayor is a member of the Supreme Court. The neighborhood of the West Bronx is where the museum may be found.
They were first given a tour of the facilities, and then they were enchanted by a performance that was given by children and teenagers who lived in the neighborhood and in the neighboring areas. The museum has interactive exhibits that are not only educational but also entertaining, and they are designed for the whole family to take part in and enjoy. The Bronx was the only borough in the city that did not have a children’s museum until a little over a year ago.
Before that time, no other borough had one. This shifted after a new one started operating in the borough. The Bronx Children’s Museum is going to be able to make a beneficial impact on the community as a result of the numerous programs that are made available to the general public at this site. “they are transformative, they are a game-changer, and they are investing in our children,” said Vanessa Gibson, the President of the Bronx Borough, adding “when we are investing in our children, we are simply investing in the future.” The museum is open to the general public without charge, and once the warmer months approach, it will function as a secure meeting place and provide a wide variety of activities to the people who live in the surrounding region.
