Stanley Wilson Obituary, Death Cause – It was a sad day for the personnel of Fire Station 53 and the Dallas Fire Department on May 20, 2013, when one of their own devoted his life in the service of others during a six alarm apartment fire in far East Dallas. He was a member of the Dallas Fire Department. Stanley Wilson, who was fifty-one at the time, responded to his final alarm at this incident. He had been with the department for a total of 28 years and was currently working on Truck 53.

He was killed when a collapse occurred as they were searching for victims in the building. On May 25, 2013, a funeral service was held for Dallas firefighter Stanley Wilson, who was 51 years old. The sanctuary of Park Cities Baptist Church was packed on Saturday morning with firemen paying their respects to deceased colleague Stanley Wilson. These firefighters came from all over North Texas and even further afield. In addition, there were hundreds of Boy Scouts present there.

Wilson, who was 51 years old at the time, served as the Quartermaster of Troop 890, and his son Noah led the troop in a salute. “This is someone who gave of himself on a daily basis and dedicated his life to service,” said Louie Bright, the Chief of the Dallas Fire Department. “It should come as absolutely no surprise to any of us that on the morning of May 20th, Stanley Wilson did not hesitate in any way to give everything he had in order to save the lives of other people,” said the author of the article.
