Sonia Marlow Obituary, Death Cause – Sonia May Marlow, age 71, a lifelong resident of Stratford, passed away in a calm and peaceful manner on Monday, May 15, 2023 at Stratford General Hospital. Her sister was by her side during her final moments. She was the daughter of the late Russell Marlow and Shirley (Erb) Marlow and was born in Stratford. Yvonne Cook and Catherine Marlow, who predeceased her, were her devoted sisters.
These organizations supplied her with a life that her family would not have been able to provide for her on their own. The gratitude felt by the family is genuine. In addition, the Avondale Church Family, whom Sonia cherished very much, played a significant role in her life. A memorial service in honor of Sonia will be conducted at Avondale Church on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. The church is located at 194 Avondale Avenue in Stratford. Donations in memory of the deceased may be made to L’Arche Stratford, Avondale Church, or Community Living (Stratford) by contacting the W. G. Young Funeral Home located at 430 Huron Street in Stratford.
The most wonderful aunt to Stephanie North, Ryan North (Cindy), and Remington North (Isla), as well as the great aunt to William and Alison North. Sonia’s Uncle David (Cheryl) Marlow and Aunt Susan (Gord) Vandervelt will always hold wonderful memories of their niece in their hearts. Sonia was born with a smile that never left her face, and her family considers themselves extremely lucky to have had the opportunity to enroll Sonia in the L’Arche Community of Stratford and Community Living programs.
