Robert Eccelston Obituary, Death Cause – It is with deep regret that we must inform you of the passing of H. Robert Eccelston, who had previously held the position of Mayor of Port Jervis. Mr. Eccelston’s life was taken from him in a senseless accident. During this difficult time, know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Bob was a guy who had a real love and concern for the community in which he was born, raised, and had made his home for the previous 87 years. This neighbourhood was important to Bob since it was the place where he had spent his entire life.
Bob was a local boy through and through; he spent the majority of his life in the same neighbourhood in which he was nurtured. Bob was a true native son; he was born and raised in this community, and for the past 87 years, he has considered this area to be his permanent residence. During this sad time, we are keeping his wife Pat, his sister Shirley, and the rest of his family in our prayers. We also keep the rest of his family in our thoughts.
