Ridge Road Middle School Lockdown – Today, in the early afternoon hours, two juvenile suspects who were in possession of stolen vehicles drove into the campus of Ridge Road Middle School in those stolen vehicles. The suspects are still at large. After being confronted by the school resource officer (SRO), the suspects fled the scene in order to avoid further investigation. They added even more destruction to the playing field by driving a vehicle into a fence post after the initial accident.
Officers from the City Division of the University City Division are currently on the scene at Ridge Road Middle School. This school can be found in the University City Division in the 7200 block of Highland Creek Parkway. Two vehicles were discovered by the school resource officer to be being driven in a dangerous manner while they were parked in the school’s parking lot. After then, witnesses reported seeing the vehicles collide with a wooded area on the edge of the highway.
after jumping out of the vehicle, the suspects raced away and were not caught. At this moment, one juvenile suspect has been taken into custody in connection with this investigation.
Officers are searching the neighborhood for a second juvenile suspect who is thought to be engaged in the crime, and they believe they may have found them. As an abundance of caution was used, the school was placed into a lockdown situation and given a status of “lockdown.
” Any newly discovered information will be made public as soon as it is in the knowledge of the Public Affairs Office of the CMPD. This will occur regardless of when the information was initially discovered.
