
Orland Austin Obituary, Death Cause – On May 17, 2023, Orland “Midnight” G. Austin, a citizen of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, passed away at the age of 85 at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. He was known by his nickname “Midnight.” On February 4, 1938, he was born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin to the late Adrian Austin and Florence (Lane) Austin. His parents have now passed away. Both of his parents had passed away at this point. Orland was a member of the United States Air Force from 1957 through 1960, during which time he attained the rank of distinguished service member.
Orland spent his entire working life at the Kohler Company, until he eventually took his retirement in 2003. Because he believed it to be such a major achievement, he carried a great deal of pride in the fact that he had travelled on his motorbike through all 48 of the states in the United States. Orland found enjoyment in a wide range of pursuits, some of which included spending time with his friends and family as well as listening to traditional musical forms. He was someone who could strike up a discussion with anyone he came across since he was a captivating conversationalist.
Orland is survived by his two sons, his sister Patricia (Eugene) Thede, his nieces and nephews, Kevin (friend Shelly) Thede, Cassandra (Sam) Stevens, Stacy Thede, Roy Meyer, Ash Thede, Brock Stevens, Constance Stevens, Kendrick (Amanda) Thede, and Caylon (Alicia) Thede, as well as his close friends Quintin, Emily, and Kiefer Stevens. Furthermore, he is survived by other members of his family in addition to friends and acquaintances. Orland’s parents, his sister Elizabeth (Leonard) Buss, his brother Adrian Lyle Austin, his niece Julianne Meyer, and his nephew Jeffrey Thede all died before he did. His niece Julianne Meyer and his nephew Jeffrey Thede were both his nephews.
