The 31st of August, 2005 found James and Tamara (Leff) Hendrickson welcoming their daughter Olivia Marie Hendrickson into the world in Buffalo. When she was in the second grade, her family relocated to Utah from Maple Lake, where she had resided since she was a toddler. When she was in the fourth grade, her parents and siblings relocated back to Maple Lake and Buffalo. Liv was a current junior at Monticello High School when this conversation took place.
She enjoyed swimming, drawing, writing, going for walks, and researching new places to visit in her spare time. Olivia had a special connection to both the natural world and the creatures that inhabited it, and she found satisfaction in spending time with both. Liv placed a high priority on the protection of our planet, and as a result, she considered several political strategies for achieving this goal. She was a goal-oriented person who never gave up on accomplishing what she set out to do.
Liv has struggled with depression for the past few of years. The severity of Livvy’s disease eventually proved too much for her to bear, and the resulting sadness led to her death. The kind and generous nature of Liv’s heart, along with her strong will, will live on in our memories. Her quick wit and keen tongue will be sorely missed, particularly during the times of relative calm.
