Margaret Holley Obituary, Death Cause – Margaret “Marge” Holley, 84 years old, a longtime resident of Morris Run, Pennsylvania, passed away in the Green Home in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania, early on Tuesday morning, May 16, 2023. On the Saturday, the 15th of April, 1939, Margaret Elizabeth Miller was born in Canton, Pennsylvania. She was one of nine children born to Albert Miller and Ethel (Stein) Miller, both of whom predeceased her.
Marge had great satisfaction in gardening, particularly while tending to her breathtakingly gorgeous flower gardens. Her passions were hiking and camping, and she was an excellent cook. She delighted at the opportunity to spend time with her children and grandchildren, especially her grandsons. In addition to her parents and husband Thomas, Marge was preceded in death by her brothers Albert, Joseph, Donald, Charles, and George Miller, her sisters Joann Brown and Cathy Moss, and a daughter-in-law named Elizabeth A. Holley. Her husband Thomas also passed away before her.
She tied the knot with Thomas E. Holley on the 7th of December, 1957. Together, they were responsible for the upbringing of six children and enjoyed a wonderful marriage for 58 years before he passed away on December 8, 2015. Before taking early retirement in 2003, Marge had spent over 30 years working as an employee at Ward Manufacturing. After she and her husband Tom retired, she was the type of person who was happiest when she had something to do; hence, she and her husband spent several years assisting her daughter at the Window Box Flower Shop in Blossburg, Pennsylvania.
On Thursday, May 18, 2023, there was a viewing conducted at the Pepper Funeral Home, which was located at 578 Springbrook Drive in Canton. Immediately after the reception that afternoon, a graveside service to celebrate Mrs. Holley’s life was held at the Arbon Cemetery in Blossburg, Pennsylvania.
