After that, he entered a second profession and began working as a draftsman for the Texas & Pacific Railroad, where he was responsible for designing crossing signals. In the end, he came to the conclusion that he wanted to work in banking. After beginning his work in the banking industry as a public relations officer, he gradually rose through the ranks to become president of Fort Worth Savings & Loan.
