Clarence Grindstaff Obituary, Death Cause – In Aultman Hospital on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at the age of 84, a resident of Carrollton passed away. He was the son of Claude Grindstaff and Maggie (Koon) Grindstaff and was born on September 29th, 1938 in Newland, North Carolina. After working as an electrician for Republic Steel in Canton for the last 36 years, he decided to retire from the company.

He has served in the role of deacon at the First Christian Church of Malvern, where he is a member. He enjoyed spending his winters in Florida, where he could fish and work with wood, and he cherished the time he got to spend with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Carol (Klotz) Grindstaff, whom he married on June 28, 1957; his three children, Kevin (Cindy) Grindstaff of Carrollton, Connie (Bob) Mace of Carrollton,

and Sonia Grindstaff of Massillon; his three sisters, Elsie (Ralph) Berry of Lenoir, NC, Norma (Howard) Bentley of Lenoir, NC, and Mildred Townsend of Banner His two sisters, Leila Berry and Reaney Vance, as well as his brother Cecil Grindstaff and his two infant brothers all passed away before him. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am at the First Christian Church of Malvern. Mr. Kenny Thomas and Mr. Mark Black will preside over the ceremony. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery. The First Christian Church of Malvern will be open from 3 to 7 pm on Monday for visitation services. Donations can be made in memory of the deceased person to the church’s Missions Fund.
