She was the daughter of Frank (Toot) and Marilyn (Ann) Murray Zirkle, both of whom passed away before her birth on March 10, 1945 in Richeyville, Pennsylvania. Bonnie had graduated from Beth Center High School in 1963 and was working as a pharmacy technician at Perry Drug in Perryopolis, Pennsylvania at the time of her graduation. In addition to that, she donated some of her time to the Richeyville Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
Family was the most important aspect of Bonnie’s life, and the life that she and her husband had created together in the mountains of West Virginia was the thing that she valued the most.
Her favorite activities included quadding, fishing, hunting, and gardening; but, her specific aim was to prepare elaborate meals for her entire family as well as for any neighbor who lived on the mountain.Council Grove, Kansas was where Bonnie Duke was born, and both Kansas and Colorado were where she spent her childhood.
